The agaves come from the small villages from the mountains of Oaxaca. Its uniqueness of the plant has a distinct flavor profile that is characterized by notes of smoke, earth and sweetness. Following centuries-old distillation process, Casa Maestri magueyes are harvested and cooked the traditional way in earthen pits, giving the mezcal its signature smoky taste. The liquid is then distilled twice in small old copper stills, resulting in a rich and complex flavor.
