Made predominantly from the delicate and sophisticated Clone 115 from our River West ranch, which has floral characters like rose and lavender that complement the raspberry and cherry fruit character and have lots of acidity. We then add Mt. Eden clone in a much smaller percentage to add power, richness, and depth to the wine with its deep purple color, blackberry and mulberry flavors, and a textural component to fill out the midpalate. The two build a complete and balanced wine.
