Travel back in time to 1962 to try Chteau de Laubade where it has been made by time-honoured traditions.Chteau de Laubadewas built in 1870 in the heart of the noblest area of the AOC Bas Armagnac -perched on a hill to view the sweeping expanse of vineyards in the valley below, and is today the premier producer of Armagnac.

Today, the third generation is actively involved in the quest of continued excellence in production on the property, composed of 105 hectares of a single vineyard in Bas Armagnac where four traditional grape varieties are grown: Ugni-Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco (the most emblematic).

The grapes exclusively come from the property from a single year, in a single distillation, from a single grape variety. It is theonly Armagnac House coopering its own casks, from Gascony oak, to ensure the finest maturation process. It has complete traceability of the eaux-de-vie production; with the blend differing from year to year, with a unique selection of Vintages that are older than 50 years. The Armagnac is stored in demijohn vesselsthat guarantee a slow and highly controlled evolution, with the oldest and most prestigious vintages resting in a unique ageing cellar calledLe Paradis(Paradise in English).
