Jermann Dreams IGT 22 750ML

In the early 1970s Silvio Jermann started making a wine that would eventually become the iconic Vintage Tunina, a field blend of native and international varietals that exhibited both Friulis iconic Ponca soils. Considered one of Italys first cult white wines, Vintage Tuninas international acclaim propelled the Jermann family from simple farmers to a world-class winemaking family and helped put Friuli on the winemaking worlds map. Since then, they released a monovarietal Pinot Grigio thats considered one of the greatest expressions of the grape in the world, and another cult white wine, first released in the 1980s, Dreams a barrel-fermented Chardonnay on par with the great Chardonnays of Burgundy. Silvios wines are distinctly precise offerings, showing a linear acidity that lends freshness and makes nearly all of their wines ageworthy. This is assisted by their use of screwcap, which allows them to use 30% less sulfur inthe bottling of the wine, while better controlling the exchange of oxygen through microscopic holes in the winecaps. Jermann also exports a distinct Pinot Nero, a unique Sauvignon Blanc, and a beautiful wine made fromthe native varietal of Ribolla Gialla, called Vinnae.
