Angove was founded in 1886 by Dr. William Thomas Angove who emigrated with his family from Cornwall, England to Adelaide, South Australia. Dr. Angove established a medical practice and started experimenting making wine as a tonic for his patients. He soon found a growing customer base that turned his hobby into a business.
