Pazo Torre Penelas, established by the Torres family in 2017, is set on a historic estate in the Val do Salns region of Ras Baixas. Combining innovation with tradition, the winery excels in crafting Albario wines with a distinct yet balanced minerality.Located in the town of Portas and dating back to the 14th or 15th century, the winery features a six-hectare walled vineyard and has pioneered the use of granite for vinification. Led by Winemaker Vctor Cortizo, Pazo Torre Penelas produces the limited production Blanco Granito and a classic Albario under the Pazo das Bruxas label.

Pazo Torre Penelas, founded in 2017 by the Torres family, is situated on one of the most historic estates in Galicias Ras Baixas region, where the family has been producing wine since 2012. Located in the town of Portas, in the Val do Salns subregion, the estate beautifully blends innovation with ancestral winemaking traditions. The wines crafted here achieve a distinctive mineral balance, embodying both historical heritage and modern innovation. The estate, which dates back to the 14th or 15th century, is registered as a historic heritage site and was once home to the Spanish conquistador Ponce de Len.In 2018, Familia Torres transformed the ground floor of the estates iconic tower into a small winery, pioneering the use of granite for vinification. The estate’s Blanco Granito is the first Spanish wine to be vinified and aged in granite vats. Under the guidance of Winemaker Vctor Cortizo, the winery specializes in Albario, sourced from the six-hectare walled vineyard planted in 1996. In addition to their innovative offerings, Pazo Torre Penelas also produces a classic Albario under the Pazo das Bruxas label.
